For lesson 3, we finally touched on the topic I am very eager to start, HTML!
I have always been looking forward to this day as I have a lot of handson experience with HTML. I want to hone by skills and re-live the magic of HTML.
Basically, the teacher taught us on the basic structure of HTML coding:
(html) (head) (title)(/title) (/head) (body) TEXT GOES HERE (/body) (/html)
The code tags are always in a pair. One of them is just the tag, and the other is with a slash (/) in front of the tag. Eg. (html)(/html)
He also taught us how to make changes to the text, like bold the word, underline it and etc. Last but not least, we learnt how to insert pictures onto the webpage.
In conclusion, HTML is a inexpensive way to create a webpage. It uses a notepad but more importantly, it is free, unlike most other softwares. It may be more tedious, but once a website is created, the sense of achievement is overwhelming. That is the magic of HTML.
